The aim of this paper is simply to illustrate that the now much discussed issue of climate change is an important part of our overall argument. However, there is a multitude of publications that deal with the threat of climate change and it is not our intention to duplicate these excellent contributions to the literature. Nonetheless, we briefly outline the nature of the threat of climate change then explore pathways between climate change and human health.
